Caraline has worn dresses for at least 2 years now. On our vacation in Red River this year, I told her she needed to wear capris or pants because it was chilly. We made a big deal about how grown up she looked so she would wear the capris. When we got ho,e, she said, "Mom, I want to wear jeans with pockets,"....She doesn't own a pair of jeans, but we found some denim capris & she was excited! She has a closet FULL & I mean F-U-L-L for dresses & NOW she wants to wear capris?!?!?! I guess I better go school clothes shopping!

things the girls said that I don't want to forget!
Caraline, on a cloudy day: "I think the sun ran out of batteries!"
Caraline, age 2, about a friend's dog named 'Baker': "What is Dawson's dog name? Cooker?"
Me: "Wow! Very close, but it's 'Baker'".
Caraline: "Oh sorry, I got a little carried away."
Caraline stole some candy at Walmart. I made her return it & she was mad that I didn't tell her she could have it. "You should have said yes!" she yells! I said, "Did you hear that little voice that said 'Don't do that?'" She nodded. I said "I know you knew it was wrong, because you were hiding it. You didn't listen to God." Caraline: "Like Jonah? He said no to God, ran away, said 'throw me in the ocean', then he saw a whale...the whale swallowed him & he prayed!" Me: "Yes, like Jonah."
Very interesting connection!
Caraline, who has trouble saying her /s/ sound, was telling a scary story says: " One time there was a 'pooky' house...." Me, trying not to laugh: "What kind of a house?!" Caraline: "A 'pooky' house!" We started laughing & she was NOT happy!
Lydia, with tears in her eyes: "Mom, for my next birthday, I want you to hold me forever!" That brought a tear to my eye! That next birthday would be her 7th!!
Lydia, about Judas: "Is Judas dead?" Me: "Yes." Lydia: "I bet his sins can see his bones!" I'm not sure what that means, but I guess that means he died with his sins deep in his bones, rotting his bones!
Both my girls always talk about God & I LOVE that!!
I'm sure that there are MANY more things that they have said that I can't remember & thought I would never forget....I need to be better about recording those things!
Blazing Sun 5K run
July 9th, Tori & I signed up to do our first 5K. I found out about it from my friend Shannon, who's husband is in the army. Tori bought me a month's membership at her gym so we could "train" together. We trained on the treadmill.
The day before, the girls made signs for us with Nana!! They were so excited to hold their signs at the race!
On the day of the 5K, Paige Redwine, Tori, & I ran together. Shannon was going to run, but she had broken her toe a few days before & decided to sit it out.
Tori, Paige & I ran the whole time! We didn't run fast, but we stayed together & it was like motivation! Tori & I ran in together! We finished the 3.2 miles in 37 minutes & 20 seconds!! We came in 94th & 95th! We were pretty proud of ourselves!
July 4th 2011
Scott was sick this 4th of July. The girls & I went to the parade with the Willis family, Nana, dad & Sadie.
We went with the Rosackers to St Mark to eat dinner, bounce on the moonbounce & watch the fire works with the Willis', Rosacker's & Hill's families.

Ok, June was a busy month in the Boyle house....
The month started a little dramatic!
We were going to Woodward to see Mimi, Papa, Sarah & John, play at the new water park & go to the family reunion.
The girls were SO excited about the water park!! We finally got there, changed into our swimsuits, & were going to put our stuff in a locker. Scott said, "Watch out, those metal benches are sharp!" Well, Lydia went to sit down, but fell in between the two benches & when she turned to get up, she gashed her eyebrow open, above her right eye. I freaked out!! I was ready to run to the car & leave everyone else behind!! Scott grabbed Lydia & off we went to the urgent care (for the second time in Woodward in 7 months).
She had to have three stitches!! She said "I thought this was going to be a good day!!" She asked Scott, "Am I going to die?"
She has a scar on her eyebrow, but she didn't die! She just couldn't go swimming for 5 days & we started swimming lessons!
The girls took swimming lessons for the first time this summer. They took lessons together at the lady's house just down the street & she goes to our church. They only had 4 lessons, they really enjoyed it. We need to practice more & they love to practice swimming!
The girls were also busy with VBS & the Fire Safety School. They went to "safety school" at the fire station with the Churchwell girls & the Cox kids. We went a few weeks later to the "Safety Village Challenge" to see if they remembered all they learned. They did great & Caraline even got her picture in the Daily Oklahoman!
June 24th was Scott & my 11th wedding anniversary. We went to the State Capitol, a special dinner at The Melting Pot & a movie. We ate SO much at the Melting Pot!! It was a very special place to eat!
That next day, we got a dog!!! Yes, Scott said he wanted a Beagle one day, the next day, a lady I used to teach with says "I have two puppies left! Bassett Hound/Beagle mix, let me know if anyone is interested!" I told Scott & he wanted to see pictures of the dogs. She sent us pictures & the next day, we met her to pick one. Her name is Maggie & she is 3 months old. She is a cute & sweet little puppy! Everyone who seeing her, says how cute she is, pets her, even takes her picture!! She is so lovable....a mess, but lovable!
Then Scott starting having breathing issues. We went to the ER twice in three days. (Sunday at the Edmond Medical & Tuesday at Mercy) He went to an ENT on Wednesday (after MANY phone calls & a drive to Yukon) & got on an anitbiotic. Then he was off work for over a week. Monday was July 4th, & he missed the parade & fireworks.;( On Tuesday, he went to another ENT who told him is sounded like acid reflux. He goes to the dr's about every third day. He was having problems at work with stress & so he was prescribed an anxeity med that made he feel strange. Then he got on Zanax & is more relaxed. We are still dealing with this strange issue, he is going to a specialist very soon.
June 30th, Lydia was eating her favorite food, chunk cheese & her bottom left tooth fell out!! She was so excited, she screamed, "My tooth came out!!" The Tooth Fairy came that night, & answered a note that Lydia left for her. The Tooth Fairy also left 2 gold dollars!! That first tooth is a special one!

The worst blogger ever!!
I must be the worst blogger ever!! How do I expect companies to pay me to review their products when I only blog once a year!!???!!!
Ok, I should start where I left off.....
November 2010: Lydia had her 6th birthday party at Express Clydesdales.
I was busy with family pictures.
Caraline was in the groove of things at Peace Preschool.
December 2010: LOVED getting Christmas cards!
Christmas with family in Pawnee & Woodward
January 2011: Started off the new year with good friends & everyone stayed up until midnight, & I mean EVERYONE!!
Caraline wanted to go ice skating for her fourth birthday! She loved it so much!!
Snow storm that was SO bad, we missed almost 2 weeks of school!! Scott was home for 2 days! And I gained like 10 pounds!!
February 2011: Scott's 40th birthday & Katy's 35th birthday!!
We found out that Tori, Russ & Sadie were moving to Florida.
March 2011 : Pictures started picking up again with the warm weather.
Lydia rode the bus for the first time on the kindergarten field trip. She wasn't sure she wanted to ride the bus because there wasn't any seatbelts, but she did & LOVED it!
April 2011: In the final stretch of school, Lydia loved being a Daisy Girl Scout & getting all her patches.
Caraline was performing at the Mother's day program & the end of the year programs at Peace.
A F5 tornado came through May 24th....Russ & Tori & the girls came over & as
Scott was walking in the door from work, the sirens were going off & it was coming
our way!! I was freaking out!! We decided to go to Cimmaron Middle School to
tornado shelter. We sat in there, but the tornado passed to the west of us. It was
VERY scary!!
We found out Russ was leaving in early June for Florida, so we had family pictures
& the next day extended family pictures! 29 people were at Grandpa & Grandma's house!!!
June 2011: June needs it's own post!! Many things happened!! I will do that one soon!
