OK OK....I haven't been blogging in a while because I haven't downloaded pictures lately. I like to add a picture to go along with the post. Life has been exciting!! All those "exciting" pictures are on my camera!! I like to wait until I have at least 100 pictures to download...I think after this Mother's day weekend in Woodward there will be enough pictures to down load...
Here are the "hightlights" of the last few weeks:
1. In late April, we took Lydia to see her first movie, Earth, in the theather! We went to the Bricktown theather & she loved it!
2. We MISSED the Heartwalk in Stillwater because of the flooding, pouring rain on May 2nd!! I was upset & so was Lydia! She was ready to "go walk for baby Addy!" She had her Addy shirt on ready to go!
3. At Peace Preschool, Lydia had a "letter parade". They picked their favorite letter & of course we chose "L". We decorated it with a ladybug, lollipop, lion, lamb, Lydia, lightning, & love. We added scripture to every item. It was really sweet!

The Friday Five...April 24th
1. I'm thinking of an old friend for elementary school today, Robyn, she is having her second baby girl this morning.
2. I had a wreck on Tuesday of this week. I was taking Lydia to school & I hit a car....long story, I'm not sure whose fault it was but I think it was a little of both. The officer thought it was mine, so I got the ticket. The girls were fine, so was the other driver. I looked back at the girls after it happened & they didn't say anything, but Lydia's glasses were knocked off her face. They didn't cry until the tow truck came & Lydia said "I liked that car!" Caraline has talked ALL week about mommy car got a "big bump"!
3. Thursday was the Mother's Day program at Lydia's school. Tori came to watch Caraline so I could go be with Lydia. It was so cute & so sweet! She loves school. She was so excited to show me the things she had made for me.
4. I called Sooner Start about Caraline's speech development on Tuesday....now she is talking more...go figure!
5. I've watched the Twilight movie 4 times now & started reading New Moon...I'm addicted to it!

The Friday Five 4/17/09
1. Caraline was sick all Easter weekend & then so was my mom!
2. I find it interesting the amount of people I know who are homeschooling....I'm thinking I will try it with Lydia next year.
3. I don't download pictures on my computer unless I have over 100 pictures on my camera to download.
4. I watched Oprah on Wednesday about online child preditors & now I'm so scared I'm almost ill over it!! The sick people out there is really distrubing! It makes me SO sad for those innocent children who are sexually molested & can't imagine what would posses a person to do such an unthinkable act!! I was in tears for those children & felt sick to my stomach! I just prayed for protection of those children!
5. I was so scared last Thursday with the wild fires in Midwest City & Choctaw that I packed up my scrapbooks in the car in case we had a fire near us & had to leave!! Crazy, I know!
I'm more worried about my family in a fire or tornado, but if I can't have my girls sit in the car or hang out in the storm shelter "just in case"....so if I can have some things "ready" then I can grab my family when I need to & have still have my pictures!

He is RISEN!!
It is Easter Sunday & Jesus has risen from the dead!! What JOY!!! Thank you Jesus!!
This Easter was a different Easter than years past. We knew it was going to rain ALL day on Easter Sunday, so at the last minute, my aunt Ginny & all that family decided to change the egg hunt to Saturday. That was fine, no problem.....except Caraline threw up twice Saturday morning!! So Scott decided to stay home with Caraline & Lydia & I went to Pawnee on Saturday & stayed the night in Perry & went to church Sunday morning.
Saturday was such a fun day on Grandpa's farm!! Grandma & Grandpa had 5 little kitties...very small & Lydia LOVED picking them up & carrying them everywhere!! He also had two Jack Russell puppies who were so cute. Lydia liked them, but preferred the cats because she could easily pick them up!
We hunted eggs with Kylie, Keilee, Jaylee, Finlee, Kynzie & Lana. Lydia found the "golden egg". It had a dollar in it!
Later, we went to see the baby goats at Lindsay's.
Farm life is so fun when all you know is the "city life"! Lydia loved every minute!! I asked her what her favorite part of the day was...she said picking up the cats!!
Sunday morning, Easter, we woke up to rain....heavy at times, that it made the Easter Bunny late & he had to come while we were at church! My mom was not feeling good. She was going to teach the Pre-K class at church & Lydia & Lana were excited to go "help" her, but she was sick & called a friend to sub for her. She went back to sleep & didn't make it to church this year!
We ordered pizza for the "traditional" Easter lunch since mom was ill. She was still in bed when Lydia & I left at 3pm. Lydia did not like seeing her sick like that. It made Lydia sad! She wouldn't even look at Nana!
We came home to see how Caraline was feeling. She was feeling better & was excited about the stuffed horse the Easter Bunny gave her! We missed Caraline & Scott...it just wasn't the same!

Good Friday
Today is Good Friday. The day that Jesus died on the cross for our sins.
At our church, Henderson Hills Baptist Church, we have a Good Friday "service". It is a self guided tour of the last days and moments of Jesus life. This was the first year I got to go.
I met my friend Christie at church & we took turns going in the worship center while one of us watched the kids. What a blessing it was that she really wanted to go & so did I, but our husbands were busy with work so we helped each other out!
First you had to wash your hands before entering the worship center. The disciplines washed their hands before meeting with Jesus.
At the first station, you saw thirty pieces of silver. Judas was paid thirty pieces of silver to hand Jesus over. That is the price of a slave. It seemed odd to me that Jesus was "sold" as a slave, but we are the slaves, slaves to our sins, but Jesus paid to free us!
The second station was the garden when Jesus prayed that God save him, but if this was the only way, let it be God's will, not his. Jesus had always had an intimate relationship with God, but now, he had to walk this road, endure this pain & suffering completely alone! Jesus took the wrath of God so that I, as a believer, won't have to! AMAZING!
The third stop was the wooden cross. The wood of the cross is symbolic for a door frame that opens eternity to us.
The instruments of suffering was next. The mallet and spike which drove the nails into Jesus' hands & feet to the cross. The crown of thorns was thick & was probably pushed down firmly on his brow.
Station five was communion. Remembering as you ate the bread that it symbolizes his body that was broken for you & the wine that was his blood shed for you & covers you with grace.
The moment Jesus took his last breath, the curtain that separated the Holy of Holies was torn from the top to the bottom. That would have been in impossible for a human to tear it, especially from the top. Only the priest was allowed into the Holy of Holies...until now! Now that the curtain was torn, it showed that we have a direct access to a relationship with God!
The seventh station was the oil & spices. Jesus' followers brought a large quantity of spices to embalm Jesus' body, 75 pounds worth. That was a lavish display of love, deep affection & respect.
The final station was our cross. You were to write a sin that was holding you back from fully serving God. You wrote it on a black square of paper, took a nail, a hammer & nailed it to teh cross!! POWERFUL!! It was very quite in the worship center, but when you nailed that sin to the cross, everyone heard it!
It was emotional!
What a special experience!
What an amazing love Jesus & God have for sinners!! I'm so glad I belong to Him!
